A nicely framed personal photograph can become a senior’s cherished possession so our volunteers use professional equipment and techniques to create a lasting memory.

Seniors On The Go

Our “Seniors on the Go” van driven by our volunteer drivers take seniors to interesting areas of our community. It’s always enjoyable to see new things or re-visit familiar locations when you’re able to travel in safety and comfort with good companions..
Seniors’ Exercise

A light and easy exercise program designed just for seniors keeps the body and mind toned up.
Keeping in Touch With the Computer

Using computers donated by individuals and businesses, volunteers from C.A.R.E. Society give basic instructions to seniors on how to receive and send emails to distant loved ones.
Senior's Parties

Every year, C.A.R.E. Society organizes an annual party to entertain over 500 seniors with dance performances, Chinese opera, lunch and lots of game booths. About 70 volunteers are involved, including leaders from low-income senior residences. These leaders are developed from our "Senior Leaders" program that encourages individual seniors to organize groups among their peers and neighbours to attend our parties.
Mobile Seniors Free Haircutting

It's very difficult for seniors to be mobile outside during the winter season. Getting out to have a haircut becomes a big problem for most seniors, especially for those in a wheelchair or who use a cane.
CARE Society, in co-operation with the Light & Love Home, initiated a free haircutting program in various seniors’ residence buildings and the response was overwhelming!
