Our smaller Indoor Programs events are designed to provide interaction and entertainment to seniors in the comfort of their own seniors housing buildings. Many seniors feel isolated from their community and their own neighbours and it is our intention to help them make friends and new contacts with their peers.
Some seniors buildings are not equipped with their own public lounge or communal areas. These seniors are invited to participate in the events and are transported by shuttle to and from the venue. We maintain that through these two aspects, seniors can continue to be stimulated and active even in the winter months.
The party events are designed to cater to 30-50 seniors with 5-10 volunteers providing all of the entertainment and attention required. Our activities include karaoke, interactive games, riddles, talent performances and crafts for the seniors to participate in.
The most well received event of the entire day is lunch! We provide a fully catered buffet lunch specially tailored to meet the needs and taste buds of our seniors. And when it comes to our lunches, we have found that seniors can eat quite alot!
